Refund and Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the refund terms that apply to Bachata Dance Academy purchases.

Different policies apply to lifetime-access courses and recurring memberships. Please review the section that applies to your purchase.

1. Lifetime-Access Course Refund Policy

Bachata Dance Academy offers a 30-day refund guarantee on products specifically identified and sold as lifetime-access courses, subject to the eligibility requirements below.

To qualify for a refund:

  1. The refund request must be submitted within 30 calendar days of the original purchase date.

  2. The customer must not have accessed or completed more than 10 percent of the course content.

  3. The customer must comply with the Bachata Dance Academy Terms of Service.

  4. The purchase must have been made directly through Bachata Dance Academy.

This 30-day refund guarantee applies only to products specifically sold as lifetime-access courses. It does not apply to the Bachata Vault, recurring memberships, subscription payments, or any product displaying a different refund policy at checkout.

How to Request a Course Refund

To request an eligible refund, email [email protected] and include:

  • Your full name

  • The email address used for the purchase

  • The name of the course

  • The date of purchase

Refund requests must be received before the 30-day eligibility period expires.

Course-access and completion records maintained by Bachata Dance Academy may be used to determine how much of the course has been accessed or completed.

Reasons a Course Refund May Be Declined

Bachata Dance Academy may decline a refund request when:

  1. The request is received more than 30 calendar days after purchase.

  2. More than 10 percent of the course content has been accessed or completed.

  3. Course materials have been copied, recorded, downloaded, reproduced, distributed, shared, or otherwise retained without authorization.

  4. The customer has shared account access or login credentials with another person.

  5. The customer has previously received a refund for the same course.

  6. A pattern of repeated purchases and refund requests reasonably indicates misuse of the refund policy.

  7. There is reasonable evidence of fraud, payment abuse, unauthorized access, or another material violation of the Terms of Service.

This refund guarantee provides customers with an opportunity to evaluate a lifetime-access course. It is not intended to provide temporary access to substantial course content without payment.

Approved Refunds

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method used for the purchase. Bachata Dance Academy cannot send the refund to a different card, account, or payment method.

We aim to review refund requests promptly. After an approved refund is submitted, the payment processor and the customer’s financial institution determine when the funds appear in the customer’s account.

2. The Bachata Vault Membership

The Bachata Vault is a recurring membership. It is not a lifetime-access course and is not covered by the 30-day lifetime-access course refund guarantee.

All Bachata Vault membership payments are final and non-refundable once processed, except where a refund is required by applicable law or Bachata Dance Academy confirms that a billing error occurred.

Recurring Billing

Depending on the offer selected at checkout, a customer may receive:

  • A $1 introductory period lasting 14 days

  • A $1 introductory period lasting 30 days

  • A $1 first month

  • Another introductory or promotional offer clearly identified at checkout

The specific price and introductory period displayed at checkout apply to the purchase.

After the introductory period ends, the membership automatically renews at the regular price displayed at checkout. For offers stating $29 every 30 days, the customer’s payment method is charged $29 every 30 days until the membership is canceled.

By completing the purchase and accepting the recurring-payment terms at checkout, the customer authorizes Bachata Dance Academy and its payment processor to charge:

  1. The introductory payment displayed at checkout.

  2. The regular membership payment when the introductory period ends.

  3. The regular membership payment every 30 days thereafter until cancellation.

No separate authorization is required before each recurring payment.

Vault Payments Are Non-Refundable

Once a Vault payment has been processed, it is non-refundable.

This policy applies to:

  • $1 introductory payments

  • Payments processed when an introductory period ends

  • Monthly renewal payments

  • Unused or partially used membership periods

  • Months in which the member did not log in

  • Months in which the member did not view membership content

  • Forgotten memberships

  • Forgotten renewal dates

  • Missed cancellation deadlines

  • Retroactive cancellation requests

  • Requests for partial or prorated refunds

The monthly membership payment provides access to the Vault during the applicable membership period. Whether the member chooses to use that access does not change the refund policy.

Canceling a membership stops future renewals only. It does not reverse or refund a payment that has already been processed.

3. Canceling the Bachata Vault

Members may cancel the Bachata Vault at any time through their online account.

To cancel:

  1. Log in at bachatadanceacademyonline.com.

  2. Open your account settings.

  3. Select the subscription or billing-management section.

  4. Select the option to cancel the Vault membership.

  5. Complete the cancellation process and retain the confirmation.

Members may also request cancellation assistance by emailing [email protected].

Cancellation requests sent by email must include the member’s full name and the email address associated with the membership.

To avoid the next payment, the membership must be canceled before the next billing payment is processed. Sending a cancellation request after a payment has been processed does not make that payment eligible for a refund.

Messages sent through social-media comments, direct messages, unrelated email addresses, or other communication channels are not considered completed cancellation requests.

Member Responsibility

Each member is responsible for:

  • Reviewing the recurring-payment terms before purchasing

  • Monitoring the membership renewal date

  • Maintaining access to the email address associated with the account

  • Keeping payment and account information current

  • Canceling before the next payment is processed

  • Confirming that the cancellation was completed successfully

  • Retaining the cancellation confirmation

Bachata Dance Academy is not responsible for canceling a membership when the member has not completed the cancellation process or submitted a cancellation request.

Customer service may assist a member with locating the cancellation option. Requests for assistance should be submitted before the next billing date.

Access After Cancellation

After cancellation, the member may continue accessing the Vault through the end of the membership period already paid for.

Access ends when that paid membership period expires. Access may end sooner if the account is suspended or terminated because of a payment reversal, fraud, unauthorized account sharing, or another material violation of the Terms of Service.

4. Failed, Reversed, or Disputed Payments

Bachata Dance Academy may suspend access to the Vault when a membership payment is declined, reversed, disputed, or charged back.

Members are encouraged to contact [email protected] before initiating a payment dispute so that Bachata Dance Academy has an opportunity to review:

  • The transaction

  • The checkout authorization

  • The offer accepted at checkout

  • Membership-access records

  • Cancellation records

  • Previous customer-service communications

Submitting a lawful, good-faith billing dispute does not automatically constitute a violation of the Terms of Service.

However, knowingly providing false or misleading information to a bank, card issuer, payment processor, or financial institution regarding an authorized transaction may constitute fraud, material misrepresentation, and a violation of the Terms of Service.

Examples may include falsely claiming that:

  1. The customer did not authorize the subscription after expressly accepting the recurring-payment terms.

  2. The customer canceled before the payment when no cancellation was completed or received.

  3. The recurring price was not disclosed when it was clearly displayed and accepted at checkout.

  4. Membership access was not provided when account records establish that access was delivered.

While a payment dispute is pending, Bachata Dance Academy may suspend access associated with the disputed payment.

If a payment is permanently reversed, access associated with that unpaid transaction may be revoked.

Fraud, deliberate misrepresentation, repeated bad-faith payment disputes, unauthorized content sharing, or other material Terms of Service violations may result in suspension or termination of the customer’s Bachata Dance Academy account.

Account suspension or termination does not create a right to a refund for products, services, or membership periods already provided, except where required by applicable law.

5. Billing Errors

Customers who believe that a duplicate payment, incorrect payment amount, or other genuine billing error occurred should email [email protected].

The request should include:

  • The customer’s full name

  • The account email address

  • The payment date

  • The payment amount

  • A description of the suspected error

Bachata Dance Academy may review its checkout records, payment records, cancellation records, and account history when investigating the request.

A confirmed billing error may be corrected at Bachata Dance Academy’s discretion or as required by applicable law.

6.Sales, Discounts, and Price Adjustments

Bachata Dance Academy may offer sales, discounts, promotional prices, coupons, bundles, and other special offers at different times.

The price accepted at checkout is the final price for that transaction. If the same course, membership, product, or service is offered at a lower price after a customer completes a purchase, the customer is not automatically entitled to the lower price or to a refund of the difference.

Bachata Dance Academy does not provide retroactive price matching or price adjustments unless the applicable promotion expressly states otherwise.

This means that we do not provide a refund, partial refund, credit, or reimbursement solely because:

  • A sale begins after a purchase.

  • A promotional code becomes available later.

  • Another customer receives a different offer.

  • The product is later sold as part of a bundle.

  • A different price appears through another campaign, checkout page, affiliate, platform, or payment option.

  • The customer did not know that a future sale or promotion would occur.

Promotional offers apply only to qualifying purchases completed during the stated promotional period and through the required checkout link or discount code. Promotions cannot be added to completed purchases, combined with other offers, transferred to another person, exchanged for cash, or extended beyond the stated promotional period unless the offer expressly states otherwise.

Relationship to the 30-Day Course Refund Policy

The 30-day refund policy for eligible lifetime-access courses allows customers to evaluate the course content, instruction, and suitability. It is not a price-protection guarantee.

A later sale, discount, or promotional price does not, by itself, make an earlier purchase eligible for a refund or price adjustment. The refund policy may not be used solely to cancel and repurchase the same product at a lower price.

Any courtesy adjustment, credit, or exception provided by Bachata Dance Academy is voluntary and applies only to that individual situation. It does not establish an obligation to provide the same adjustment to other customers or in the future.

Nothing in this section limits any consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

7. Other Products and Offers

Products not specifically sold with the 30-day lifetime-access course refund guarantee are governed by the refund terms displayed on the applicable checkout page.

Promotional offers, workshops, services, events, digital products, or other purchases may have separate refund and cancellation terms.

When the checkout page contains a product-specific refund policy, that product-specific policy applies to the purchase.

8. Legal Rights

Nothing in this policy limits any consumer right that cannot legally be waived.

If applicable law requires a refund, cancellation right, or other remedy that differs from this policy, the requirements of that law apply.
